Burn down Emblem: New Mystery of the Keepsake: Heroes of Lite and Shadow (Japanese: ファイアーエムブレム 新・紋章の謎〜光と影の英雄〜 Fire Keepsake: New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Calorie-free and Shadow) is the second Burn down Emblem remake for the Nintendo DS system, following later Shadow Dragon . It is a remake of Volume two of Mystery of the Keepsake , the third Fire Emblem game to have been made.
Plot
I twelvemonth afterwards the War of Shadows between the Archanean League, led by Prince Marth of Altea, and the Dolhr Empire led past the Shadow Dragon Medeus, an imperial edict from Hardin, recently crowned Emperor of Archanea, arrives at Altea Castle, ordering Marth to pb his ground forces to Grust to subdue a rebellion occuring in that location. Although Marth has his doubts almost this order, he is forced to comply with the orders of his suzerain nation, and leaves for Grust.
Gameplay
New Mystery of the Emblem marks the first advent of "Casual Manner", a gameplay fashion in which units who are defeated in battle are not actually killed, but simply retreat from battle to recover in time for the next chapter. The game was originally going to be released effectually the same time Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon was going to exist released. As a result, evolution began alongside Shadow Dragon. Even so, during evolution the staff decided to employ a different organization than the 1 they were working with, which was based off of Shadow Dragon; instead, they decided to starting time from scratch and base information technology more off of the original Mystery of the Emblem.
Many elements were added in the game that weren't present in Mystery of the Keepsake, such as support conversations, a customizable graphic symbol, and a "Casual Mode"; the latter was heavily debated betwixt Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, only positive feedback from playtesting allowed the decision to stand. The amount of new content was arable in the game, so much that Intelligent Systems considered splitting the game into two separate titles.
The game was appear by Nintendo in May 2010 equally part of Fire Emblem's 20th anniversary celebration, and was subsequently released in Japan on July 15, 2010. No western release date was announced.

Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow opened with 136,000 copies sold in Japan. As of 2012 it has sold a total of 274,000 copies in Japan.[1]
Reception
Fire Keepsake: New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Low-cal and Shadow received a 34/40 from Famitsu, receiving praise for the incorporation of support conversations and the greater narrative additions, as well as the introduction of Casual mode.[2]
